Media shapes fashion . . . or rather fashion shapes media. However, Tyra banks shapes both of these in many ways. Considering her shows and being the model that she is, Tyra influences many people especially women and aspiring models. Her show America's Next Top Model, molds ordinary girls into fashion models, and introduces girls to the world of fashion.

Lately Tyra has been in the limelight. With tonight's season premiere of cycle 9 of America's Next Top Model, it is assumed that many girls tuned in to watch their role models. Not only did her season premiere bring publicity to Tyra, but also new show getting a lot of publicity from moving to New York from out west has given her reasons to promote her show. This is giving Tyra power to shape fashion and influence more people.
